Deciding on a website framework

I believe there was some discussion on having an easier website system allowing admins to push to a Git repo instead of having to use wordpress.
Jekyll is nicely integrated with GitHub so I decided to try it out after a gap of many years and it works as well as I recall. I hosted a simple fork of the website here as a POC:

What do people think about:

  • Hosting via Github pages and Jekyll
  • The theme (ideally would want to look for a few different themes on Github before settling on one)

+1 on having a website with the Content management backed by git and able to be posted easily.
