I’ve been working on a tool called embd that is aimed to be a more general purpose version of beman-submodule. My intention is not to step on the existing work of beman-submodule but rather provide a potential alternative. My motivation wasn’t to replace beman-submodule, but rather to create a more generic version of it so I could use it at work and in my own projects. With that being said, the project is now in a state where it’s a functional MVP and I’ve started using it on a small scale.
I’d be curious to hear everyone’s thoughts on this. If you’d be willing to provide feedback on it’s design or implementation, I’d be very appreciative. I’m also open to adopting this tool for Beman if everyone thinks it would be a good fit, but if not, that’s fine as well. Thanks in advance!
