Does anyone see a need to support specifically cmake 4.2? 4.3 is available from all the usual places, and if no one needs 4.2 I can drop setting a gate GUID in the proposed telemetry module. Internally we updated from 4.2 to 4.3 over this weekend, and it was a non-event.
It looks like 4.2.3 will be the new default in Ubuntu 26.04, but that will go stale quickly.
I’m personally fine with requiring build tools to be up to date, particularly for an optional feature like timing trace telemetry.
