Members not displayed on our org page

Hello,

Check this page in incognito - The Beman Project · GitHub. People are not displayed on the org page. Can someone check? I tried, I don’t see such settings (I have admin permissions).

CC: @leads

We have 37 members, but only 5 are shown to the public. I’m OK if people want to specifically opt out, but I think not only all of 32 people intended that :smiley:

I dont know whether i am supposed to be a “member” but when I inspect my associated organizations in GitHub, I can see that I am an “outside collaborator of 2 repos” for bemanprojects. Same for a couple of other orgs in my case

Maybe thats the reason?

I’m not sure if there is personal account settings or org settings. I will give few examples I see on https://github.com/orgs/bemanproject/people:

Ah, maybe I am simply not a member :smiley:

I confirm. I don’t know how is this process :)) . @leads ? :smiley:

@maikel I’ve sent you an invitation, which is how you become a member.

@neatudarius I see 38 people when I look at the people link…

When I went to the people page I was able to change my “Organization visibility” to public. I think this may be a per-user setting that users need to opt-in to if they want to have public visibility in the repo.

You have to set yourself to be visible as a member. That is exactly what you are looking at when people set their status to “Private”.

It’s an opt-in system.

I have set mine public – apparently private is the default.
