# The Beman Standard was merged!

Hey all, we’ve [merged](https://github.com/beman-project/beman/pull/18) the initial version of [The Beman Standard](https://github.com/beman-project/beman/blob/main/docs/beman-standard.md). 🥳

Thanks for everyone’s feedback and contributions: @InbalL, @Jeff-Garland, @tzlaine, @dietmarkuehl, @neatudarius, @bretbrownjr, @rmpowell77, @Sdowney, Peter Dimov, Dave Abrahams, those in the original C++Now discussion, and anyone else I missed!

Armed with a standard, we can create our first Beman libraries and iterate on the Beman standard (e.g. build system, testing, and other entries).
